Description

The EDBOX HYDRUS TRC PLUS Transcoder supports a wide range of operating points; from Mobile to full HD applications;
and from low to very high bit rates. Any combinations of MPEG2 or H.264, inputs or outputs can be supported with a variety of video processing options to support many different workflows. The HYDRUS TRC Plus are able to transcode up to 72 CHA with SD resolution or 20 CHA with HD resolution.

The EDBOX HYDRUS TRC PLUS Transcoder is a scalable, flexible, transcoder, transcaler and re-ecoder solution for and between MPEG2 and H.264 input and output. and seamlessly transcodes MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) high quality broadcast video and
audio content to any mobile and internet formats including Silverlight, Microsoft Smooth Streaming, Apple HTTP Adaptive streaming and others.

The HYDRUS TRC PLUS integrates our superb H.264 and MPEG2 high true multi-pass quality codecs witch ensure maximum compression efficiency. A huge variety of video processing features are available such as format conversion before transcoding, MCTF noise filtering, and PIP channel creation.

Manifold, impressive & flexible transcoding functions can be controlled to provide a myriad of transcoding applications.

The HYDRUS TRC PLUS can scale transcoding performance from full decode/full re-encode type to a transrating type, with several operating points in between.

Web based and SNMP control of the HYDRUS TRC provides a high level of control and monitoring capability.

The efficient and scalable codec architecture of the HYDRUS TRC Plus allows integrating multiple channels of Mobile, SD or HD with up to 72 channels SD or 20 and more channels HD transcoding within a 2RU unit at multiple different outputs like UPD over TS, RTMP, RTP, Apple Live, Apple VOD, Silverlight and many others.
